Custom Packing and Summer Drop Camps

Visit the interior of the Bob Marshall Wilderness for hiking, fishing, or other backcountry activities without using a full service guide.
We also offer summer drop camps and custom packing for those wishing to visit the interior of the Bob Marshall Wilderness for hiking, fishing, or other backcountry activities without using a guide service. If you want to go on a “do it yourself” trip, but don’t want to carry a heavy load or walk miles to get to your target area, then we can help.  Choose a destination, and we will pack your gear, and if you wish, your group both in and/or out to suit your schedule. We also offer vehicle shuttling if you are planning on doing a trip that brings you out at a different place than you depart from.

What to Expect

We ask that you bring all your gear to the trailhead by 5 p.m. the night before your departure day, so we can have everything packed and ready to go in the morning to ensure an early start.

No food or drinks will be provided for drop services, so please eat breakfast and pack a lunch before you show up on departure day.

If you will be riding instead of walking, we will provide you with a horse and all necessary tack and saddle bags for your trip into the wilderness.

A weight limit of 150 pounds per pack animal will be strictly enforced. Please have all loose items packed in duffel bags, boxes, coolers, etc. with no pack in excess of 75 pounds and no coolers larger than 80 quarts.

Deposit Policy:
A deposit of $500 will book the particular trip you want until January of the year the trip is to be conducted. At that time the remainder of the 50% deposit is required. Balance due upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are nonrefundable. This space is held for you, and this means turning others away. Deposits are transferable if you have someone else to take your place. In the event of Forest Fires, USFS closures, or other natural disasters, any remaining deposits may be held for a future reservation within 2 years.
