Big Game Hunting

When the leaves start to rustle, the nights get frosty, and the elk begin to bugle, we turn our full attention to hunting. We hunt the vast Bob Marshall Wilderness area. The country is remote, rugged and sometimes steep. Since 1987 our reputation has steadily grown for smoothly run fair chase hunting. No corners are cut when preparing for your hunt, you will be pleasantly surprised at our clean comfortable base camp 24 miles from the end of the road. We serve excellent meals, use the finest equipment, and provide excellent horses raised on our ranch for your comfort and safety. From camp we travel by horseback to different drainages during each hunt. This enables us to access some of the most remote and beautiful area's in the country. It also allows us to accommodate people of mixed ages and physical abilities.

Area 150 is one of the few to allow early season rifle hunts for trophy bulls during the peak of the rut, enjoy hunting bugled in bulls from 5 to 40 yards in one of the largest elk herds is the country. We hunt 9 major drainages on these early season hunts, from dark timber, to open slides and meadows, to high open country and everything in between. Elevations vary from 4400 ft to over 7000.

For hunters seeking outstanding Muley's book one of our late combo Elk/Deer hunts. The upper end of our big basins, and south slopes support large groups of rutting Mule Deer. You won't catch these bruisers with their guard down at any other time of the year.This area simply has it all Big Rutting Muley's and Late Season Bulls.
We also offer hunting for Black Bear, Mountain Goat, and Mountain Lion.

  • All hunts are 2 hunters per guide (can be upgraded to 1 hunter per guide for $750)

  • Elk/Mule Deer Area 150, Mountain Goat Area's 132 & 133 - Bob Marshall Wilderness, Mt.

  • Early Hunts can be upgraded to include Black Bear for $350 or Mountain Goat for $750.

  • The 6th Hunt can be upgraded to include Mountain Lion for $750.

Packing For Your Hunt:
Below is a list that might be helpful as you get ready for your hunt. Please bear in mind as you go through this, a packer’s dream is a client with two army sized duffel bags and a rifle (we provide scabbards) with a combined weight of 70 to 80 pounds. Keep out a warm coat, and rain gear to be worn or tied to the back of your saddle. When you arrive, please have everything you need for the trip into the backcountry packed separately from your street clothes you will need when you return. This way we can pack everything up the night before we go in and get an early start the next morning.

Please remember to let us know of any fragile or breakable items so proper precautions can be taken when we pack them.


  • 400 square inches of hunter's Orange
  • Warm winter coat (wool, hydrofleece)
  • Light sweater or jacket
  • Cotton or flannel shirts
  • Wool or comparable hunting pants
  • Blue jeans or light trousers
  • Wool Socks
  • Insulated or wool underwear
  • Undergarments
  • 2 pair warm gloves
  • Warm hat
  • 1 pair leather hunting boots**
  • 1 pair insulated boots **
  • Valid hunting and fishing licenses
  • Rifle of your choice suitable for game being hunted
  • 40 rounds of ammunition
  • Sleeping bag (3 or 4 pound down or fiber)
  • Air Mattress (we provide cots)
  • Personal gear (toothbrush, towel, comb, etc)
  • Knife, hatchet, or saw
  • Binoculars
  • Waterproof matches
  • Camera and film
  • Flashlight & extra batteries
  • Rain Gear
  • Compact fishing rod with case


** Important!!! The boots that you bring are probably the most important piece of equipment you bring. Make sure to have one good pair of insulated waterproof boots. Two pairs of liners are nice so you can dry one pair while wearing the other the next day. We have found that Hoffmann’s and Schnee’s make boots most suitable for our weather and conditions.


Deposit Policy:
A deposit of $500 will book the particular hunt you want until Sept 1 the preceeding year, at that time a full %50 is required. Balance due upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are non refundable. This space is held for you and this means turning others away. Deposits are transferable if you have someone else to take your place. In the event of Forest Fires, USFS closures, or other natural disasters, any remaining deposits may be held for a future reservation within 2 years.
